Quietways and Estreham Road

As a part of the Mayor's promise to improve cycling in London, and in response to rising fatalities amongst cyclists, TfL has set up a programme to create cycle-friendly routes through London linking major destinations by following backstreets, through parks, along waterways or tree-lined streets.

The idea behind the programme is to identify and improve, as well as to traffic calm existing ways to provide safe spaces for people to commute in and out of town. It has the Mayor, Dep't for Transport and TfL behind it and is a great idea; what could possibly go wrong?
